Ukulele players are gathering for a wild glamping weekend on a remote Cork island

Listen up, ukuladies and gents.
This June, Wild Atlantic Glamping is hosting a Ukulele festival at their Bere Island perch, where hundreds of people are expected to gather to share in all things ukulele.
Ukes go Bere: A Weekend of Ukuleles, Craic, and Song invites complete beginners and more accomplished players alike to join them for a weekend “jam-packed with uke delights to accommodate all playing abilities.”
Participants can expect to take part in a hoot of a weekend attending musical workshops, KaraUke (karaoke by ukulele) evenings, drumming, a ukulele brunch at The Bakehouse Café, vocal masterclasses, after-dinner sessions at the campsite, and live performances.
The weekend will be orchestrated by Dr. Eva McMullan, co-director and founding member of a group called the Ukuladies and current musical director of the University College Cork Choir, who will be joined by Andrew Moran B.mus, M.Phil, co-director of the Ukuladies since 2015 as well as professional musician and teacher.
