UCC students are doing something very nice for the neighbourhood

God bless Enviro Soc.
In an effort to show College Road residents that UCC students aren’t all a bunch of wild party-hosting, chaos-causing rowdies, the college Environmental Society members are organising a thoughtful street clean-up post Fresher’s Week.
Sticking to their pledge to ‘promote a greener, more sustainable way of life’, the group is inviting their fellow students to join them for a litter picking session on Friday, September 13th, 2019.
Meeting at the UCC Community Gardens at 1pm on the day, the team will lead a clean-up of College Road, which regularly takes the brunt of the college party foot traffic during the traditional September knees-up.
Missed us at Freshers Fest? No worries bai, we’ll be at societies day this Wednesday armed with hummus, veggies and climate action zines ✨💪🏻 pic.twitter.com/reZdtvlx9m

They say: “What better way to get rid of your hangover than some fresh air and litter picking?”
“We’re meeting at the UCC Community Gardens (behind the societies hub on College Road.) All litter picking gear is provided. Even if you can only spare a half an hour, every bit counts.”

There’s really no better way to shake off The Fear.
