Everything sounds better in a Cork accent.
If you haven’t grown up on Leeside however, it can take a little research and practice to get the hang of our famously fabulous singsong dialect.
That’s why the International Students Society at University College Cork is hosting a Cork Slang and Culture Workshop.
UCC students who have moved to Cork to start their studies can drop in on Wednesday, January 15th, 2020 to find out the answers to important questions such as what, exactly, is ‘craic’? Why does everyone say ‘like’ all the time? Why does it matter what brand of tea I drink? What’s the difference between a langer and langers?
Presented by real Corkonians from the committee, the workshop is for students only and runs from 6pm-7pm at the UCC International Students Society, 6 Carraigside, College Road.
Drop in for a look, like.
