Two Michelin-starred chefs are serving a black-tie supper in St Fin Barre’s Cathedral

This will be a night to remember.
Two of Cork’s Michelin-starred chefs are teaming up for an intimate standing supper inside the spectacular surroundings of Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral this August — and yes, it’s every bit as atmospheric as it sounds.
As part of Cork on a Fork Fest 2026, chefs Lewis Barker of Terre at Castlemartyr Resort and Paul McDonald of Bastion will join forces for a black-tie evening of small plates, wine, music, and storytelling in the cathedral’s breathtaking setting on Thursday, August 13th.
Beginning at 7pm, guests will be treated to four seasonal dishes served as elegant small plates and bowls, with a menu built around the very best local ingredients and designed for a relaxed, social style of dining.
The evening also includes a local drinks reception, carefully selected wine pairings, live music, and rare insights into the rich history of the cathedral — widely regarded as the historic heart of Cork city.
Fine dining in a cathedral isn’t exactly your average Thursday night, but that’s kind of the point.
“This unique event blends Cork’s culinary and cultural identity in a landmark venue never before used for a dining experience.” say the organisers.
