Listen, we all know Cork is the most beautiful county in Ireland.
But sometimes it’s nice to be reminded that visitors feel as strongly about this fact as us locals do.
As it happens, French Erasmus students Jérémie Bertrand and Amaury Glatard were so enamoured by the raw beauty of the Rebel County, they decided to make a video of their visit.
The Lyon-based friends, who spent a year studying as part of the programme at University College Cork, shared the 2.2 minute clip on YouTube this week.
Titled ‘Irlande’, the video features footage from all over the country, but with sweeping shots of Blarney Castle and drone footage of the rocky coast, atmospheric graveyards, castles and various ruins, Cork is the clear star of the show.
Honestly like, it would make you proud to live here.
The lads travelled west to Barleycove’s beaches, hiked through forests and up mountains, discovering waterfalls, hidden harbours and unspoilt vistas and collecting footage that will make you want to plan your own visit asap.
