Weaning yourself off fast fashion?
Most of us are making an extra effort to upcycle and recycle our clothing these days, but if you’re lacking the skills to give your thrifted bits a stylish makeover, there’s a city class that can help.
Raffaele Muraca is hosting a Custom Shoe Workshop every Saturday from February 8th, 2020 until February 29th at The Lido, Blackpool.
Open to adults and teenagers aged over 16, the class is organised by Cork Community Art Link and promises to show participants how to turn a pair of old runners into a catwalk-ready pair of kicks.
All you need to bring is a pair of shoes that need some love (light coloured canvas shoes are the most effective). No previous experience is necessary and everything else you need to get started will be provided – just grab a pair of old runners and head down there.
The workshop runs weekly from 11am until 1pm and the cost is €10 per week. Email [email protected] or call 021 455 3747 to register.
