Trade in your silly sweater at this eco-friendly Christmas Jumper Swap

Tired of seeing the same Christmas jumpers in every family photo?
We only wear them a few times a season, so it makes sense to re-use the same Christmas jumper year after year.
If you’re getting board of those smiling reindeer or LED Christmas trees however, this year there’s a sustainable, planet-friendly way to rock a brand new sweater on your 12 Pubs night out – without adding more textiles to Ireland’s heaving landfills.
Cork Zero Waste is hosting a Christmas Jumper Swap on Sunday, December 1st, 2019.
Just one of the fun events planned as part of the group’s Sustainable Christmas Market at Nano Nagle Place on Douglas Street, you’ll be able to pop in with your (clean) Christmas jumper and trade it for another design for free.
With your new sweater in your reusable bag, you can browse the stalls of handmade crafts and gifts and take part in a family-friendly up-cycled craft workshop with Cork Environmental Forum.
Good Day Deli will be serving tea, coffee and cakes too so it’s the perfect opportunity to make a day of it.
Stallholders will be announced soon so keep an eye on the Sustainable Christmas Market Facebook page for updates.
