Chillax, we know what you’re up to.

If you’re ignoring the looming deadlines and meeting requests in your inbox right now in favour of a furtive browse on the recruitment sites, you’re not alone.

Today is officially the busiest day of the year for looking for a new job.

According to Jobs.ie, website traffic rockets by 44 percent on January 24th.

And if you kicked off 2019 by tidying up your CV, it was a smart move; the first quarter of the year is typically the strongest hiring period, with 3,403 roles currently advertised on the site.

Research shows that job searches typically slow down in December, as job hunters wind down and turn their attention to the Christmas festivities.

Now, get that CV updated before your boss gets in.
