To Pope’s Quay… and a very good excuse to drink wine on a Wednesday

Fond of a midweek glass of wine?
Yeah, us too. And we’re always on the lookout for an excuse to indulge, especially if we can do a little bit of good while having some fun of a boring Wednesday.
Now you can happily book a babysitter: Myo Cafe on Pope’s Quay is hosting a night of wine tasting on Wednesday, June 26th, 2019, with all proceeds going to a very good cause indeed.
Wine expert Nicolas Sicot from O’Briens Wines will be in house to select the wines for the Corked Wine Tasting from 7.30pm, with cheese and nibbles to complement the vino and a raffle afterwards.
All proceeds go to St Lukes Welcomes, a community sponsorship group that is currently fundraising to welcome a resettled refugee family to Cork.
Set up in spring of this year, the group help refugees arriving in Ireland to find a home, register with schools and doctors and social services and introduce them to locals in St Luke’s.
