It’s one of the newest eateries in the city.

But if the on/off lockdown restrictions of the last ten months mean you haven’t had a chance to visit Thompsons Restaurant and Microbrewery just yet, now you can sample the best of the menu at home.

The MacCurtain Street bar and restaurant is reopening this Thursday for collection only, offering locals living within 5km of their kitchens the chance to drop by and pick up a tasty €37 offer; one spit-roasted Chicken Dinner with a bottle of wine, a 2L growler or two cocktails.

The deal comes with all the trimmings, from stuffing and mashed potatoes to roasties, carrot and parsnip, peas, beans and homemade gravy. It’s essentially everything you’d expect in a slap-up Sunday feast, except you won’t have to lift a finger to get it on the table and there’s no washing up to do afterwards.

The best bit? The entire Thompsons cocktail menu is available as part of the deal, so you can toast the weekend with a Black Forest Gateau Espresso Martini, a Salted Caramel White Russian or a Raspberry and Hibiscus Sour.
