This workshop will show you how to forage for sea vegetables

It’s tastier than it looks.
This weekend there’s a unique opportunity to learn how to forage for seaweed to add to your cooking.
Meeting at Rocky Bay, near Minane Bridge, Cork, Zita Dennehy will host an educational seaweed foraging workshop on the shore, showing you how to sustainably hand harvest nutritious sea vegetables.
Afterwards, participants will be shown how to use them, complete with a demo and tasters.
Zita’s company Wild Atlantic Way Products produces seaweed oils, teas, butters, cashews, seasoning and salad dressing – all containing the magic of natural msg and mouthwatering umami – so you can be sure she knows her stuff.
Tickets for the foraging workshop, part of the brilliant Tracton Arts Festival line-up this year, are €10 (over 12s only) and can be purchased at the beach on the day.
