This workshop will help you turn old junk into fabulous new furniture

Attempting to decorate an entire home on a one-room budget?
Saving up enough cash to to furnish every part of the house could take years, but there is another (much more environmentally friendly) way to do it.
Upcycling is having a resurgence and it’s easy to see why; with a little work, you can transform tattered furniture and flea market finds into stunning pieces you’d pay top dollar for in a trendy store.
All you need is some skills and Style 25 is the place to learn them.
The Blarney painted furniture store is hosting an Upcycling Workshop on Sunday, August 19th from 11am to 5pm.
Participants bring along their own piece of furniture (a small chair, side table, locker for example) and the experts at Style 25 will explain the various stages of upcycling, sharing plenty of techniques and trade secrets along the way.
It’s a hands-on workshop so bring along an apron or wear old clothes. Lunch and refreshments are provided (as well as all the materials and tools needed) and the cost of the day is €125.
Everyone goes home with a beautiful finished piece as well as the skills to take on future projects solo.
Who knows, you might even discover a new passion for design.
