This swimming pool is home to Cork City’s only indoor water slide

Brought to you by LeisureWorld.
Now that summer is over, it’s time to find a new swimming spot for the colder months.
But why settle for a basic splash and dunk when you could send the kids whooshing down one of Cork’s biggest water slides this weekend instead?
LeisureWorld Churchfield hosts Family Fun Swims on Saturdays and Sundays, with a packed schedule of zany entertainment for kids of all ages – and Cork’s only indoor water slide.
Firstly; entry is pay as you go, so everyone can join in the fun, whether you’re a LeisureWorld member or not.
Your €20 Family Swim ticket admits two adults and two children or one adult and three children for one hour.
Now, the important stuff; the Giant Slide opens on the hour, every hour from 10:30am to 5:30pm.
Pool games with fun pool toys run throughout the day and the bravest big kids can also try the Water Walkerz (huge inflatable balls that allow you to literally walk on water) at 12pm or 2pm, so get there early if you fancy giving it a bash.
There’s plenty of fun for babies, toddlers and wobblers too – and kids aged under four go free.
Beside the huge flume slide you’ll find two children’s pools for splashing around in. The shallow fun pool is designed for toddlers and boasts a kids water play zone with its own mini water slide, a rain shower and a floating tire swing.
Nearby, the learner pool is ideal for little swimmers who are working on improving their water confidence.
Grab your togs and towels and plan a weekend splash around with the whole family this Saturday and Sunday – visit the LeisureWorld website for further details.
Halloween Fun: LeisureWorld Bishopstown also hosts Family Fun afternoons every Saturday and Sunday (3pm-5pm). Expect a Giant Crocco Inflatable, Waterwalkerz, Water Polo, Aqua Basketball and pool toys.
A special Halloween break session is planned for Monday, October 29th (3pm-5pm), Tuesday, October 30th – Friday, November 2nd (1.30pm-3pm) and Saturday, November 3rd and Sunday, November 4th (3pm-5pm).
