This sweet gift shop is celebrating its second birthday with a furry special fundraiser

Got someone to spoil this summer?
If you’re on the hunt for the perfect gift, one Ballincollig shop is offering the perfect excuse for a bit of shopping while helping out a brilliant cause.
Snout in The Square is celebrating its own second birthday on Saturday, July 8th by donating 10 percent of all items sold on the day to Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
It’s a charity very close to the heart of Snout’s owner Esther Weekes, whose father Jim had three guide dogs to support his independence after he lost his sight in his sixties.
Kinsale Essential Oil Candle brand Wizard & Grace, named after retired Guide Dog Wizard, will also be in attendance and a further 10 percent of all sales of Wizard & Grace candles will be donated to Irish Guide Dogs on the day.
“I am delighted to celebrate two years in business in my lovely store in Ballincollig and would love to invite and celebrate all of my customers for their support by having a thank you celebration,” explained Esther.
“My father Jim benefited hugely from Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. I know exactly the benefit they bring to people they support – my father went blind at the age of 65 and until his passing at the age of 81 he was able to go for his daily walks and take part in the community thanks to his guide dogs, Brid, Kelly, and Ollie.”
The second birthday party will take place Saturday, July 8th from 11am to 3pm with refreshments and treats available all day.
