Listen up, lovers.
If a candlelit dinner served in a walled garden sounds like your idea of romance, this could be just the thing to win over someone special.
Ballyvolane House is hosting an idyllic al fresco Summer Seafood Soirée on August 10th, 2019.
A four-course summer seafood menu will be served outdoors in their walled garden (weather permitting) and paired with a variety of white wines from Rías Baixas, each one specially selected by wine writer Corinna Hardgrave who will be on hand to provide an introduction as it’s being served.
The fun begins at 7.30pm with a leisurely stroll around the stunning Ballyvolane House Gardens, Bertha’s Revenge Negroni in hand.
Guests will then be invited to take their seat for a menu prepared by Head Chef Steve Mercer, featuring the freshest catch from Union Hall that day served alongside fruit and vegetables from the gardens at Ballyvolane House.
Highlights will include oysters and smoked and cured fish canapés to start, followed by local crab, lobsters and turbot on the bone, and a summer pudding with selection of Irish cheeses to finish.
If you fancy making a night of it, glamping is available from €160 per night for bed & breakfast, based on two people sharing.
Tickets for the Summer Seafood Soirée in partnership with Rías Baixas Wines are €67.50 per person here.
