In need of a bit of a breather?
If summer has you hot and bothered and craving a bit of rest and relaxation in a quiet corner of Cork, there’s a brand-new Airbnb spot that could fit the bill quite nicely.
Nestled in the heart of West Cork, just a stone’s throw from the charming villages of Ballydehob, Skibbereen and Schull, Casa Clarig is a sweet one-bedroom cabin that has been custom designed to help guests to fully unwind during their stay.
Surrounded by natural beauty, the cabin boasts a barrel sauna where you can soothe tight muscles and loosen up before settling into the outdoor bath for a long soak al fresco.
Afterwards you can cook something delicious in the cute kitchen (it features all the mod cons) or barbecue outside and enjoy a quiet meal looking out over the rolling landscape.
Later, a cosy bed awaits and the silence after dark is guaranteed to help you get a blissful night’s sleep.
Hosts Martin and Monica are on hand to offer tips and advice on the sights to check out locally too if you fancy leaving and exploring the surrounding area for a few hours.
A typical day might include an afternoon swimming at one of the nearby beaches, hunting for treasures at The Old Mill Stores in Leap, a spin to beautiful Glandore and Union Hall and some live music and a pint at Levis in Ballydehob.

Both Ballydehob, Skibbereen, and Schull are known for their excellent restaurants and cafés so you won’t be stuck for a lunch, brunch, or dinner recommendation either.
Casa Clarig is available to book for select nights in August, September, and October at €159 per night (two-night minimum).
