This public talk will teach you how to cultivate inner strength and resilience

Having a tough old time of it?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, worried, or stuck, a walk-in public talk could be exactly what you need this week.
Kadampa Buddhist teacher Kadam Bridget Heyes will present an hour-long talk at 7pm on Wednesday, March 22nd, at Cork’s Western Gateway Building on the Western Road.
“Imagine having the inner mental strength and emotional resilience to be able to bounce back from whatever challenges and difficulties life throws at you.” said a spokesperson for the Tara Kadampa Meditation Centre Cork, which is hosting the event.
“Imagine for example when difficulties arise in your personal life, family life, or workplace instead of feeling overwhelmed and stuck, you feel empowered to deal with this adversity.
“The good news is that this is very possible for each of us. We can become stronger than we think, more flexible than we ever imagined, and more confident and peaceful than we ever thought possible.”
Sounds pretty good to us.
The group will learn new ways of thinking and relating to these challenges, as Heyes shares a wealth of practical personal experience of applying these meditation methods and teachings in her own life.
Tickets for the Public Talk are €10 here or €12 on the door on the night and refreshments will be served afterwards.
