This new dinner experience takes diners on a journey into Cork’s quirky history

And now for something totally different.
A unique new dinner theatre experience set in an 18th Century tavern is taking diners on an explosive journey into Cork City’s riotous history.
Hysterical Histories explores the true stories of some of Cork’s most infamous characters (“from the hilarious to the hideous, the good to the gruesome”) while guests enjoy a three-course meal of hearty lamb stew and Kitty Barry’s apple crumble.
The brainchild of Chattyboo Productions, the family-friendly fun takes place at 6:15pm at An Spailpín Fanach, South Main Street on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from July 31st until August 23rd.
There are vegan and vegetarian options (just let them know your dietary requirements when you book) and the evening is suitable for adults and kids aged over five years.
Tickets (€45 for adults, €25 for kids) are limited and must be booked in advance here.
We can’t think of a tastier history lesson.
