This new city furniture showroom is only selling handmade, sustainable pieces

Tired of mass-produced furniture?
If you’re on the lookout for a real showstopper for your living room or dining room, you might discover just the gem on the Marina.
Sustainable Irish furniture brand Origineire has opened its first showroom in Cork, offering stylish and sustainable furniture, homeware and art at a new showroom in the Marina Commercial Park.
Origineire is focused on contemporary Irish furniture and interiors, and offers a handpicked selection of design and décor products created by acclaimed and emerging designers and artists based around Ireland.
“This is not your standard retail outlet,” said Managing Director Siobhan Brennan.

“Origineire provides a customised service, our products are not mass produced they are made to order. In our showroom, you can view some of our products, look through our samples of wood and finishes and tailor-make your selection to suit your preferences.
“When you order, the designer begins the process of making, which is the opposite of most furniture stores.”
The Origineire concept is about shopping with a conscience.
“As our lives become more virtual we need our homes to keep us grounded in the real world. Irish design can do this.” added Brennan.
“It has a natural authenticity combined with exceptional craftsmanship that is on par with any other European country, and we welcome visitors to the showroom to see for themselves.”
