This neighbourhood coffee shop had a famous funnyman drop by for a brew

His Opera House show is sold out.
But Scottish comedian Kevin Bridges took time out from prepping his act for the Cork crowds to visit one of the city’s best new coffee shops today.
The Glasgow-born comic, who is filming his stand-up special The Overdue Catch-Up in front of a live audience on Leside this week, headed for Sam’s Coffee in Togher for a brew… and he took his camera crew with him.
Locals and owner Sam Ryan, who achieved his dream of opening his own little coffee spot earlier this year, was thrilled to see the funnyman walk in.
Posting a few tongue-in-cheek photos on Instagram, the cafe owner said: “Kevin Bridges came to see my new rug today.”
If you’d like to check out Sam’s new rug for yourself, opening hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 3.30pm and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm.
They’re dog-friendly too so it’s an ideal destination for a morning dog walk.
