This magical trad night in the Honan Chapel is guaranteed festive feels

There’s something about the Honan Chapel…
It’s got a special place in Leesiders’ hearts. And it’s no wonder; the chapel’s architecture is hugely inspired by Celtic Revival, the floors are designed with intricate mosaic tiles, as well as a map of the zodiac, and stunning stained glass windows filled with Irish saints frame the short aisle.
It’s not just any ordinary church and we jump at any opportunity to peep inside.
Luckily for us, UCC Trad Soc is organising an angelic ‘Ceol by Candlelight’ event in the stunning venue this December.
The society is bringing together a phenomenal musical duo – Jim Murray, one of Ireland’s leading guitar players, and multi-instrumentalist Danny Collins, many-time All-Ireland champion from the highlands of Reenascreena in West Cork- to kick off festivities and enjoy a few reels of a cold, December evening.
The event promises to be an ‘atmospheric’ experience and what’s more, it’s free to attend.
