They’ve been open less than a year.

But one glam little nook on MacCurtain Street has already made a major impact; Nell’s Wine Bar has picked up the accolade for Best Wine Experience in Munster at last night’s Irish Restaurant Awards.

The natural, organic and biodynamic wine cellar was nominated in several categories this year by its enthusiastic clientele including Best Gastro Pub, Best Casual Dining, Best Free From, Best Restaurant, Best Commis Chef, and many more.

Selected judges from the regional panels will now join together to form the National Academy, which will then review each finalist and decide the overall winners.
