Love hunting for one-of-a-kind finds?
Now there’s a new way to dig through the flea market for treasure, and you don’t even need to leave the house.
Saturday Morning Vintage is a place for Irish vintage enthusiasts to buy and sell treasures from the comfort of their own homes.
The brainchild of illustrator and Cheap Irish Houses creator and host Maggie Molloy, the online market happens once a week, whatever the weather, with all manner of items available.

So, what are people buying?
Get yourself a large cup of coffee and find a comfy corner of the sofa, then let the browsing begin; You can choose from beautiful 1800s blue willow serving platters, retro jugs and vases, 1950s theatre and cinema programmes (these look fabulous in a frame) and fancy butter dishes and salt shakers.
“All items can be purchased by leaving a comment such as “I’ll take this” below the item you wish to purchase,” Maggie explains.
“You will then liaise with the seller via private message to make your payment.”

Getting involved is easy:
Sellers: If you would like to become a trader you can book your slot here. A stall costs €10.
“We are open to all items pre-1990 that have not been upcycled,” says Maggie. “All sellers must have an Instagram account, a PayPal account and be willing to ship their items within Ireland.”
Buyers: Visit the Instagram account @sat.morn.vtg the morning of the market to find the unique hashtag for that event, or subscribe to Maggie’s free mailing list to get it direct to your inbox. Subscribers also receive a secret sneak peek email the night before each market.
For €5 you can nab yourself an early bird pass, which gets you the unique market hashtag a whole hour before anyone else. Your pass entitles you to an early entry email containing the hashtag at 8am on market day.
It might be the best reason to skip your Saturday lie-in.
