This is your sign to take off for a one-day wellness escape in the West Cork mountains

By Yay Cork March 31, 2026February 16, 2026

If city life has you running on empty, this might be the reset button you’ve been craving.

The West Cork Vitality Festival takes place on Sunday, July 19th, 2026, promising a full day of fresh air, deep breaths and genuine switch-off time — all set against the sweeping backdrop of the Sheehy Mountains.

Just a couple of hours from the traffic, the inbox and the endless to-do list, this new annual gathering is designed as a gentle escape from the noise. Whether you rally a few friends for a restorative road trip or take yourself off for a solo day of stillness, the focus is simple: move, breathe, and just be.

Expect a carefully curated programme of meditation, yoga, Pilates, dance and soul-soothing workshops — the kind of schedule that leaves you feeling grounded rather than rushed. It’s about reconnecting with your body, clearing your head and remembering what it feels like to properly unwind.

Founder and yoga and Pilates teacher Linda Casey says the heart of the festival lies in community and care. “We’re proud to showcase the incredible talent in the local community, from inspiring teachers to locally crafted wellness offerings, all created with a genuine love for West Cork.”

The setting only adds to the sense of escape. Natural Events — Ireland’s first exclusively outdoor, eco-friendly venue — sits in the heart of the mountains, just 12 minutes from Dunmanway. Think wide skies, rolling views, plenty of parking and a spacious stretch tent for comfort and shelter if the weather turns.

Early Bird tickets are now available, with two affordable options: €80 for full access to all classes and workshops plus a nourishing lunch, or €70 if you’d prefer to pack your own picnic.

For anyone feeling the pace of city living, this is your invitation to slow down — even if just for a day.
