This is the route map for Cork’s first ‘Day of the Dead’ jazz parade

Ready to get your jazz on?
Whether you religiously hit the music trail, or just amble around town soaking up the atmosphere, the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival is about to kick off… with a brilliant new opening event.
For the first time ever, the weekend will kick off with a ‘Dia De Los Muertos’ Jazz Parade.
Taking place at 7pm on Thursday evening, October 25th, the colourful spectacle will start on the Grand Parade, winding through the streets of Cork in an alluring dance of the macabre.
The action will head down Oliver Plunkett Street, through Maylor Street, parade up St Patrick Street and return to the Grand Parade to finish.
You can nab a spit anywhere on the route to take in the performance.
The deadly display, a nod to Mexico’s famous ‘Day of the Dead’ Parade, will include street performers and floats from Cork City Art Link in a New Orleans funeral procession with live musicians paying homage to the greatest artists of jazz now gone from this world.
