This is the best place to find proper Italian-style fresh donuts in Cork

The delicious scent will catch you first.
Then all you need to do is follow your nose through some of Cork’s busiest farmer’s markets to find out where I Monsù are frying up their fresh, fluffy Italian donuts.
The Italian specialty stall is a weekly fixture at Wilton, Clonakilty, Kinsale, and Bandon Farmer’s Markets and is well known for its delicious authentic pasta dishes (trust us; try the Puttanesca and the Ragu Napoletano).
If you’re a fan of all things sweet, however, it’s their handmade donuts (€4) that will have you waiting in front when they open.
Purists will enjoy the plain, sugar-coated option, hot and fresh from the fryer.

However, if you’re taking a box home, you’ve got to try a custard-filled donut or push the boat out with a Nutella, white chocolate or Kinder stuffed treat.
The donuts boast fans all over the county, including Marta Kozak, who described hers as “The best donut I’ve ever eaten in my life,” adding “pistachio cream is a poetry of flavors.”
Can’t argue with that, can you?
I Monsù are at Bandon Farmers Market on Saturday and Wilton Farmers Market this Tuesday. Check their Instagram page for other locations.
