This Cork restaurant is BANNING romantic tables for two on Valentine’s Day

Brought to you by Electric.
Valentine’s. It’s all a bit cringe, really.
But if you’re on the hunt for a lighthearted way to duck the pressure to propose or order some kind of enormous floral tribute, one bar has your back.
Over on the South Mall, Electric is banning romantic tables of two for Valentine’s night.
Yep; that’s right. It’ll be tables of four or more only for the February 14th launch of their brand new Tasting Menu.
“It’s the perfect excuse to head out with another couple or invite all your single friends.” Electric’s owner Ernest Cantillon told us.
“Nobody will be left behind this Valentine’s Day at Electric so the pressure is off!”
Valentine’s night diners will be the first to sample the brand new Tasting Menu (€49pp), featuring Cork’s own Roaringwater Bay Mussels and a Clonakilty Bao Bun. A veggie option is available too.
Whether you’ve been on your best behaviour for the first few weeks of 2023 or not, one thing’s for sure; sipping a couple of cocktails sounds like an excellent way to spend an evening right about now.
As luck would have it, Electric is celebrating the launch of its new cocktail menu with two cocktails for €20.
The treat is available from Wednesday to Sunday for the rest of January and throughout February. Pop in and grab a cosy table and you can choose from a selection of new and exciting drinks, including the Asian Chai, a Green Tea Margarita and the Kyoto Daiquiri as well as all your usual favourites.
It’s cocktail o’clock somewhere!
