This iconic Cork village deli is seeking a top-notch chef and baker to join the team

Brought to you by Pickled Deli.
Are you a chef or baker looking for a new challenge?
If you know your way around a cruffin and you’re not shy about heaping salami, chorizo, mortadella, and provolone on a muffuletta, Macroom’s famous Pickled Deli has opened applications for two new roles; they’re seeking a top-notch full-time chef and a creative baker to join them ASAP.
The thriving coffee and sandwich spot, opened on South Square in the town in the summer of 2021 by Katy Walsh and Keely Buckley, is growing again and the owners are seeking out the best in the business to join them behind the counter.

Both owners met while working at the famous Farmgate Café in the English Market in Cork City. The deli is located in a shop that was run as an electrical store by Keely’s grandmother for many years and has now become the busiest spot in town for the hungry coffee, lunch and cake crowd.
“We are looking for a chef to take responsibility for our savoury section, come up with new ideas and sandwich recipes, and diversify our menu,” Katy told Yay Cork.
“The ideal baker will have lots of experience with pastry lamination and French pastry techniques. They’re both full-time positions, 40 hours a week.”
Pickled Deli opens Tuesday to Friday (8:30 am to 4pm) and Saturday 9am to 3pm. Interested in joining the team? Send your CV to pickledmacroom@gmail.com.
