This fun class will show you how to make a macramé plant hanger out of marine waste

All the materials you need wash up on the shore.
And an upcoming workshop will show crafty folk how to use marine waste to create a cute macrame plant hanger for the garden.
The class, which will be held in Bantry on Sunday, April 21st at 11am combines traditional macramé techniques with modern materials.
“Earth Day 2024 is happening next month and, in celebration, I’m going to be holding a workshop which teaches you how to turn washed-up fishing ropes into fabulous, hard-wearing, vibrant plant hangers for your garden,” said Pacie Grews on Instagram.

“Come along and learn the techniques—you don’t need any prior experience, though if you have some and find yourself flyyyying it in the workshop, you’re welcome to make as many hangers as you want within the allotted time.”
“The event will be held on the morning of Sunday, April 21st in our favourite cosy yurt overlooking Bantry Bay (just two miles from town),” added Pacie.
“Tasty refreshments and well-washed, well-loved materials are provided as part of your ticket.”
