This epic new Sunday Roast menu is a fine excuse for a spin to Kinsale

We never met a roast dinner we didn’t like.
But at one Kinsale restaurant, the new Sunday roast offering isn’t just a meal—it’s a full-blown, gravy-drenched event.
The talented kitchen team at the Blue Haven Bistro has crafted a Sunday Roast menu of dreams. Using the finest seasonal ingredients sourced from West Cork producers, every dish celebrates the best of local produce and traditional Sunday dining.
The kitchen is leaning hard into West Cork’s greatest hits, sourcing from local producers.
Meats come courtesy of McCarthy’s Family Butcher, with options ranging from 12-hour braised beef to roast leg of lamb, Angus prime rib, and the classic turkey or chicken situation. Everything arrives flanked by the holy trinity of comfort: beef-fat roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and gravy.

Add in honey-glazed veg, creamy mash, and stuffing, and suddenly you’re making the kind of decisions that require loosening your belt in public.
Then it escalates. Pigs in blankets? Of course. Cauliflower gratin? Naturally. There’s even a catch of the day with lemon-caper sauce for anyone pretending they came for something “light,” which is adorable.
Dessert doubles down. Sticky toffee pudding, an unapologetically tall eight-layer chocolate cake, a sundae moment, and crème caramel round things out.
Served every Sunday from 12 pm to 5 pm, bookings are open now.
