This decadent barbecue is probably the best way you could spend a Monday evening

How about shaking things up this week?
Instead of the usual schlep towards Hump Day, why not take advantage of the fine weather while it’s going and head east to a very promising gourmet barbecue?
The Hunted Hog is setting up the trestle tables beside the Kilta River on the main street in Castlemartyr on Monday, August 29th for an evening barbecue planned as part of FEAST, the East Cork Festival of Food and Drink.
Operated by Castlemartyr Resort, the Hunted Hog’s Riverside Terrace will be buzzing with live music and the tantalising scent of sizzling meat on the grill.
The gastropub’s chefs will be laying on a range of barbecue dishes and sides, all prepared with local produce, as well as salads and freshly baked breads and desserts – all included in the €28 ticket price.

“For those able to enjoy a tipple on the night we would be delighted to kick off the celebrations with a Jameson cocktail sampling plus lots of drink options from the Hunted Hog bar team,” they said.
