This Cork water park is reopening ‘bigger, better and bouncier’ this weekend

It’s almost time to dive back in.
Cork’s biggest outdoor waterpark, The Lagoon Activity Centre, is reopening for the season this weekend — and organisers say this year’s setup is “bigger, better and bouncier” than ever.
The popular West Cork spot has become a go-to summer day out for families, groups of friends, and anyone willing to fling themselves off giant inflatables into the water.
Spread across more than 1,000 square metres, the floating obstacle course features trampolines, climbing walls, slides, a giant hamster wheel, and a towering nine-metre “iceberg” that brave visitors can scramble up before plunging back into the lake.
Sessions last 45 minutes and all equipment is included in the €19 ticket, with wetsuits and lifejackets provided on site. There’s also a short ferry trip out to the course, which is half the fun for many visitors.
The park is open to anyone aged eight and over, though children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Lifeguards supervise all activities, and changing rooms and showers are available after sessions.
Located just off the N71 between Clonakilty and Skibbereen, the waterpark has become a staple of Cork summers in recent years — especially when the sun decides to make an appearance.
Book your visit now starting from opening day, Saturday, May 16th via their website.
