The seaside town of Cobh has been hailed as one of the 25 most beautiful small towns in Europe by a swish travel title.
Writing in Condé Nast Traveler Magazine, writer Caitlin Morton heaped praise on Cobh’s unique charm, fondly remembering her visit by “its rows of candy-coloured homes along the water and towering cathedral standing sentry over the harbour”.

Other European towns to make the list include Ronda in Spain, Ribe in Denmark and Portree on the Isle of Skye, Scotland.
Austria’s magical Hallstätt and the lavender-lined scenery in Hvar, Croatia were also among the top 25.
“We are always championing Cobh as a visitor destination, so to see our beautiful small town featured in a prestigious publication like Condé Nast Traveler Magazine is a fantastic endorsement.” said Chairman of Cobh Tourism Jack Walsh.
“Condé Nast is globally recognised as one of the most discerning, up-to-the-minute voices in all things travel and its recommendations are known to be very influential.”
