This Cork studio is hosting a ‘Yoga for India’ oxygen fundraiser

India is in the grip of a Covid-19 crisis.
With more than 300,000 new cases a day, the devastating second wave of the pandemic has been made even more grave by a lack of oxygen supplies.
This week a local yoga studio is holding a fundraiser to help supply masks, PPE kits, bed sheets, hand sanitisers and funds to refill oxygen cylinders to charitable hospitals, Covid care centres and healthcare workers in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.
Himalaya Yoga Valley’s Yoga for India- Oxygen Fundraiser will take place live online at 2pm this Saturday, May 8th.
Senior yoga teacher and school founder, Lalit Kumar, will lead a special 90-minute Heart Opening Workshop, in aid of the GiveIndia’s Oxygen Fundraising Drive.
“This is an opportunity to give back to India for the gift of yoga in our own lives.” the studio announced on social media.
“This workshop will help students open their heart, find mobility in the spine and activate the vagus nerve to help regulate stress and improve immunity.”
