This Cork company makes some lovely remedies for back-to-school anxiety

Got a little worrier in your house?
While September is an exciting time for kids, the prospect of back-to-school season can also bring on some understandable jitters.
To help ease the transition, a Cork company has put together a collection of soothing natural remedies that could help ease some of the anxiety that’s common among children once the uniforms start appearing in the wardrobes.
GROUND Wellbeing’s Calm Balm is infused with the calming botanical extracts of mandarin, lavender, and Roman chamomile. At €27.50 per pot, a little goes a long way and the balm can be used as an effective tool in building routines to encourage self-soothing and emotional regulation.
Suitable for children aged five and over, you can massage it on the chest, arms and body, before or after a difficult school day “to ease fear, anxiety, and restlessness”.
It can also be used to settle your anxious kiddo before bedtime or calm a child after nightmares or emotional stress.
If bedtime is tricky, try the brand’s Sleep Pillow Spray: “Lavender reduces anxious feelings and promotes peaceful sleep, while rosewood calms a racing mind and allows the body to relax and let go of mental clutter.” they told us.
Founded by Cork’s own Peigín Crowley, GROUND Wellbeing products are made at their HQ in the Melbourne Business Park on Model Farm Road, where you can also click and collect your order.
