Customers showed up in their droves.

Vibes & Scribes has announced its recent Profits for Palestine fundraiser, which took place on September 27th, raised more than €10,000 for the cause.

“Thanks to the incredible support of our community, the event was a great success.” owner Joan Lucey told Yay Cork.

“Together with our customers, we raised €10,500 – a total that includes our gross profits from the day from our three Cork city shops, contributions from our in-store collection boxes, and a final round-up.

“Every cent will be donated directly to Doctors Without Borders, whose medical teams have been doing lifesaving work. We hope they will soon be able to re-enter Gaza City to continue their critical mission of providing care where it’s most needed.”

The fundraiser ran at Vibes & Scribes family-run stores on Bridge Street and Lavitt’s Quay.

“We are so grateful to everyone who shopped with us in-store, spread the word, or donated in our charity boxes or directly to the charity through our online shop.” added Joan.
