This Cork cinema is showing Poltergeist on Halloween night

Need an excuse to venture out into the darkness on Halloween night?
The Triskel is planning a suitably spooky tribute to the late director Tobe Hooper, who passed away in August of last year.
The atmospheric City Centre venue will screen the terrifying classic Poltergeist as part of their Tobe Hooper – ‘Master of the Macabre’ season on Wednesday, October 31st.
The 1982 flick follows a Californian family whose pleasant lives are turned upside down when a host of otherworldly forces invade their suburban home.
Also showing on the spookiest night of the year is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre so if you’d like to spend the evening scaring the absolute bejaysus out of yourself then you’re in luck.
The film is an account of the tragedy which befell a group of five youths when an idyllic summer afternoon drive became a nightmare, thanks to an encounter with an insane family of killers.
The Triskel’s ‘Master of the Macabre’ season runs on October 29th, 30th and 31st at 9pm. Book your tickets (€9) here.
