This Cork charity has collected 270 laptops for Ukrainian refugees who need them

It’s a practical and valuable gift.
Cork-based charity Together-Razem has begun distributing free refurbished laptops to Ukrainian refugees under its #laptops4ua initiative.
A total of 270 laptops have been donated under the first phase of the scheme, which received 889 applications from Ukrainian refugees who arrived in Ireland after fleeing the war.
The recipients were selected based on who had the highest level of need, following a review of the applications by Together-Razem staff and Ukrainian volunteers.
“We launched the #laptops4ua project for Ukrainian refugees in Ireland, because having access to a laptop can help them in so many practical and valuable ways.” said Voyteck Białek, CEO of Together-Razem.
“For example, they can apply for jobs, learn English and study for college. Laptops can also help entertain and educate children, which is particularly important for people in living conditions that may be cramped.
Companies including Amazon and employees of other tech companies were among those who donated laptops to the initiative. If you would like to help Together-Razem’s mission, you can donate here.
