It’s not all about turkey, you know.

If you like your Christmas dinner sans bird, a Cork City café has just the thing.

Myo Café on Pope’s Quay is hosting a Vegan Christmas Dinner on Friday, December 7th – and the menu looks like plant-based perfection.

According to the Myo crew, diners will be served “a yum wedge of our Signature Festive Loaf (being served to hundreds of Happy Yuletiders since 2005!), roast spuddies, brussels sprouts (or garden peas for ye of little faith), sweet carrots and lashings of onion gravy.”

Sounds delish.

For dessert, there’s a scrumptious mince pie with double cream. The ticket price (€21.95 here) includes a soft drink and there will be gluten-free options available on the night.

“Christmas is a time for compassion to ALL.” says the Café. “No sentient beings are ever harmed in the making of our dishes. And that of course includes our dear turkey friends.”

There are two sittings available, with 20 seats available from 7pm to 9pm and 20 more from 9pm to 11pm.
