It’s tough to be away from home during the holidays.
If you’re an American ex-pat in Cork this Thanksgiving however, one café is laying on all the flavours of a US family feast on Friday, November 29th, 2019.
Diva Boutique Bakery & Café in Ballinspittle will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving dinner on the day, and whether you’re missing your mum’s cooking or you just fancy a slap-up meal of all-American favourites, this is the place to be.
Owned and run by Seattle native Shannen Keane, Diva is celebrating 13 years in Ballinspittle this year so hungry guests can rest assured this will be a celebration meal like no other.
Here’s what’s on the menu…
Each €50 ticket buys you a seasonal welcome drink before starters of spiced nuts and olives, seasonal salads and oven-fresh breads are served.
The main course is turkey with sausage, walnut and cranberry stuffing, several veggie sides, those all-important mashed potatoes, cranberry chutney and lashings of gravy.
Leave room for dessert before you head home and crash on the sofa; there’s pumpkin cheesecake, sour cream apple pie with streusel topping and pecan pie to enjoy over coffee afterwards.
There will be wine for sale on the night too. Bookings are now being taken for limited seating on 021 477 8465 or by emailing Diva.ballinspittle@ gmail.com and a non-refundable €20 deposit is required.
