This Cork bar is hosting a breakup-themed Anti-Valentine’s party

Valentine’s is tough if you’re newly single.
If you were planning on sitting at home and sobbing into a pint of ice cream tonight however, one Cork bar is pulling out all the stops to lure you out on the town instead.
The Old Oak on Oliver Plunkett Street is marking February 14th, 2020 by throwing open its doors to the unlucky in love, with a night of helpful activities planned to help you get over your ex by closing time.
Round up your best divorced mates and singletons, the Tinder-tired, the dumped, the cheated on, the ghosted, and head for Love Stinks at 9pm.
You can sing your favourite breakup songs (Cry Me A River maybe? Don’t Look Back in Anger?) in the Love Stinks Karaoke Lounge or meet your future ex now with a round or two of Speed Dating.
If you’re really hurting, bring along a photograph of your ex to chop into smithereens in the shredder and they’ll even shout you a free drink to help you drown your sorrows.
All in all, it sounds like the best way to get over a bad relationship. Just try to avoid the drunk dial in the queue for Hillbillies at 2.30am.
