This Cocktail Class will teach you how to make fabulous drinks on a budget

Brought to you by Monk Cocktail Bar.
This could potentially save you a fortune.
One of Cork’s most popular cocktail bars is giving away their secret recipes to a select group of wannabe mixologists… and you could be one of them.
The Monk Cocktail Bar on the North Mall is hosting a Basic Beginners Class for the Home Mixologist on Saturday, May 25th, so if you’ve ever fancied being able to whip up more than a gin and tonic, this is your chance.
The fun tutorial on how to make, shake and serve your own drinks takes place inside the atmospheric Monk Cocktail Bar, on the very site where the Franciscan Monks set up their monastery in 1219 (just above the Franciscan Well Brewpub).
Tickets (€43.55 here) also allow you to sample your creations so leave the car at home if you fancy indulging during the 3pm-5pm class.
Where possible, all Monk’s spirits, syrups and tinctures are homemade so these really are techniques you won’t find in the average mojito recipe.
Everyone will learn the history, ingredients and method for three specific summer cocktails as well as the basic structure of a great drink so you can build your own concoctions later.
It’s the perfect excuse to put that cocktail shaker to good use.
