This café might have Cork’s most extensive iced coffee and tea menu

You had us at iced coffee.
When heat waves strike, there’s one hero that stands tall: iced coffee is the smooth, caffeinated saviour of summer.
In fact, so fond are we of this mix of science and sorcery that we worried we may have exhausted every blend and recipe on Leeside.
That was before we happened upon Clonakilty Tea Shop.
Firstly, don’t let the name deter you. While this little Rossa Street store is also home to a fabulous array of teas and tea-centric goodies, they’re fully stocked with coffee too.
Caffeine fiends can satisfy their thirst with caramel, cherry vanilla, hazelnut, mint or plain vanilla iced lattes or go the coffee/chocolate route with a classic iced mocha or a Vulcan Hazelnut Mocha made with almond mild.
There’s an After Eight iced chocolate and an iced honeycomb that both guarantee an icy party in your mouth.
Then you can sip your way through the list of iced teas, trying flavours such as Copenhagen Lemon, Matcha Lemonade, Pineapple Amaze, Iced Chai, Iced White Chocolate Matcha, and a Pina Tea-Lada with coconut milk.
If you’re avoiding caffeine you can try a caffeine-free Strawberry Ice or a Mango Loco.
Naturally, they have an extensive menu of hot drinks too (the Jamaican Hot Chocolate is unreal on a rainy day) but we prefer a cool companion while we’re strolling about town in hot weather.
