This booze-free Cork dance night is a proper rave without the hangover

Weary of the club scene?
If you’re done with the sticky dancefloors and the 3am queue for taxis but you miss the freedom and joy of dancing, an upcoming event might be right up your street.
Primal Dance, a sound and movement meditation journey that promises to be the antidote to everything uptight and self-conscious about dancing, is coming to Cork Lotus Yoga on Carey’s Lane on October 18th, complete with a live DJ and alcohol-free brews.
Organised by Naoise Ní Gealbháin from Goldenspace, the fun kicks off at 7pm until 10pm, with DJ Pedro Ahnuc on the decks.
“The Power of Trance is a key element in the Primal Dance Immersion – Trance Dance is a powerful ritual that has been used by indigenous cultures for millennia to access altered states of consciousness, deep healing, repair and spiritual awakening.” they told us.

“As we move, we enter a state where the external world fades away, and the inner landscape becomes our focus. We honour the sacred signals of our bodies, resourcing ourselves through the bodies wisdom by deepening our somatic awareness.
“It’s a practice that takes us beyond the mind, into a state of pure, embodied presence.”
Sound like your kinda’ vibe? Tickets are €55 here.
A nervous system-nourishing native tea will be served as participants enjoy guided somatic movement and an integrative sound journey (no alcohol is permitted) and the evening will close with Community, Connection & Chats with drinks sponsor Fierce Mild Alcohol-Free Brews.
