Adopt, don’t shop.
That’s the ethos that helps find forever homes for more than 1,000 abandoned animals rescued by Cork Dog Action Welfare Group (DAWG) every year.
Now an upcoming Adoptathon will give would-be pet owners the chance to mingle with some prospective furry friends – just the thing if you’re still on the fence about caring for an animal.
On Sunday, May 20th, animal lovers are invited to drop by The Bark Park Doggie Daycare on the Old Mallow Road to meet all the homeless doggos looking for forever families.
Dogs like Bear, who is house trained, loves to play fetch and can happily join you on your morning run off-lead…
And Scruffy… who adores children and is looking for a forever home where he can join the kids on their adventures.
The Adoption Drive will run from 11am-2pm, with refreshments available on the day.
A Donation Drop will also be in place from Monday, May 14th until Sunday 20th, so anyone that has unwanted food, beds, collars and other dog accessories can bring them to The Bark Park to be donated.
