This 130-year-old Rosscarbery convent has a brand new celebrity owner

It would make a spectacular wedding venue.
Whether or not the convent on the Haven Coast in Rosscarbery is set to welcome brides and grooms or not has yet to be seen, but its new owners certainly have the right skills for the job.
Celebrity wedding planner Peter Kelly (aka Franc) and his wife Eadaoin Morrish have confirmed their purchase of the property, which was constructed in the early 1890s and enjoys stunning views over Rosscarbery Bay and Estuary.
With three acres of land, the convent, which was also used as a school, boasts beautiful mature gardens, a tennis court and a terrace of five cottages, although the couple is keeping mum on their plans for the place at the moment.
First listed for sale in 2018 for offers in the region of €400,000, agents Hodnett Forde said the building attracted plenty of interest from buyers across Ireland and in the UK, but Ireland’s premier wedding planners have nabbed the site and its grounds for themselves.
Myself and my wife Eadaoin are delighted to have purchased this lovely Convent on the the Haven Coast in Rosscarbery. We are very excited and looking forward to future plans, Franc!

The couple revealed the news on social media, much to the delight of locals who are looking forward to seeing the beautiful building being brought back to life.
