These FREE art workshops are designed for kids with long-term health conditions

They say every child is an artist.
Now a national organisation is making sure every child has an opportunity to be creative, with a series of free workshops tailored to the needs of Cork kids with long-term health conditions.
The charity, Helium Arts and Health, aims to transform the healthcare experience of children and teenagers in Ireland “through art, imagination and play”.
This spring, they are planning a visit to Leeside.
From March 5th to April 9th, 2022 children aged between six and 12 can join artists Rachel Doolin in Mallow and Ashleigh Ellis in Togher “to revel in the world of colour, form and pattern using new and found materials, learning artistic techniques.”

Not only will the workshops be completely free of charge, but there will also be professional medical support provided, meaning children from all walks of life can participate.
Workshops will take place in the Togher Family Centre, Cork city and Le Cheile Family Resource Centre in Mallow and will run for six consecutive weekends.
