These five Cork city streets will all be getting a refresh before Christmas ’24

Is this your neck of the woods?
If you live or work near Cook Street, Marlboro Street, Princes Street, Grafton Street and Rochford’s Lane, Cork City Council is inviting you to have a say in how they should be improved.
DBFL Consulting Engineers and Landscape Architecture and Urban Design practice Áit are working with Cork City Council on plans to revive these streets, with work to be completed before November 2024.
“This project seeks to enhance the vitality of Cook Street, Marlboro Street, Princes’ Street, Grafton Street and Rochford’s Lane with regard to the built heritage, allocation of space (day and night-time), the use of coordinated high-quality materials and street furniture, improved lighting; greening and provision of age-friendly passive seating/gathering places to rest and play while accessing or remaining in the street or space.” said a spokesperson for Cork City Council.
