These Cork cafés are selling cool reusable lunch boxes

In Cork, we take sustainability seriously.
Such is the demand for environmentally-conscious options, local cafés have started selling reusable lunchboxes to help customers cut down on food packaging waste.
They’re pretty cool too.
At The Sandwich Stall in The English Market, the team have introduced Elephant Box metal lunchboxes and water bottles.

Made of stainless steel, the containers are not just hipster-tastic, they’re naturally BPA and phthalate free. This means no harmful chemicals can leach into your food and they’re also really easy to clean, with zero staining and zero odours.
You can pick up screw-top canisters for soups and stews, one or two-tier lunchboxes for separating your salads and cloth produce bags for holding everything from flour to beans or pasta.
Over at Rocketman on Princes Street, the ‘re-use revolution’ continues. The popular eatery has just taken delivery of their cute new wood-topped lunch containers.

Bring your box to the counter at lunchtime and you can get your food to go, without creating any extra waste when you’re done.
