We’ve all got our favourites.
But Tripadvisor users from all over the world have narrowed down their list of Cork’s five best restaurants, which have each received hundreds of reviews from visiting diners who were keen to share their experiences afterwards.
Tourists who check out the popular review website, the world’s largest travel guidance platform, before landing on Leeside will receive the following recommendations, arranged in order of popularity:
- The River Club
- The Spitjack
- Elbow Lane Brew and Smokehouse
- Quinlan’s Seafood Bar
- Liberty Grill
Portion size, great service, plentiful vegan options and food quality were all high on the diner’s agendas… and Cork didn’t disappoint.
A diner described the vegan burger at The River Club at The River Lee Hotel on Western Road as one of the best she had ever tasted: “The superfood salad was also delicious and we finished off our meal with a choice of desserts! Wow! The vegan chocolate parfait with chocolate gelato… heavenly!” Serena S posted.
David Paniz was also blown away by his visit: “Restaurant is fancy, but we felt very welcome with kids and elders, not that kind of (snobby) fancy restaurant.” he posted in his review.
“Kosta took us for a quick tour after the meal and told us about the old train station that used to be there, great story, great experience.”
Over on Washington Street, The Spitjack is racking up five-star reviews for its decadent brunch menu, delicious desserts, and slow-cooked rotisserie meats.
“The portions are huge – going again, I’d skip the starter so I could finish the porchetta (I say that now, but likely wouldn’t!),” said Deiric M, who visited from Naas last week.
